SHE DID IT

Cindy finally packed her bags and left me, she even took the kids. Well not all the kids she left the dog, cat and Cody. Eric and her left this morning a little after 6am after losing an hour sleep because of daylight savings time and countless hours of sleep worrying about the trip and getting everything done before she left. Hey you missed a couple loads of laundry. I will just push them out of the way until you get back. They drove to Jan and Tim's to meet up with them and then head out to Jer's. I think they should get into Biloxi around 8 or 9 tonight. I hope they all have a good time. I am sure Jer will keep us posted on how things are going on the fun-o-meter scale.
If not I will.
Cindy's fun-o-meter scale this morning was at 1 out of 10

Obviously 1 being lowest 10 highest

Does the funometer go higher than 10? Because that's where I'll be when they get here. I'm psyched.

We can watch Ghost Hunters together on Wednesday!

That night before leaving on vacation is hard on anyone...laying awake thinking"Did I pack it all?", "will the weather be good?" ..."Will I come back?"...and then to have 1 les shour to do it all...Have a safe trip Cindy, Eric, Jan and Tim!

Ghost Hunters is the best! Did you know that Jason and Grant work with Jim's company?

I can't believe I did it myself. What are we coming to with separate vacations?

Day ONE. LOTS of driving, but Tim was great at breaking it up, and Eric and I caught a nap...we also CAUGHT lunch. That Lamberts place where they throw the most delicious HOT rolls at you to catch is really a neat place to go. I tried to ply Tim with LOTS of BUTTER for his roll, but he wouldn't go for it...that and he would eat all his roll either. drat, foiled again. Better luck tomorrow hun...but I promise to 'break' him. (you keep eating good though)

Tim also pulled off the interstate at Memphis so we could see Graceland. I loved Elvis in the day, but I was surprised that the place he built for his mother was not all I'd built it up to be in my mind...another "debunked" story.

lots more driving and we got to Jer's at about 9ish. She really has a nice home here and the puppies were glad to have company too.

I'm sure tomorrow we will get to the GRAND PRIZE....a view of the ocean.

It's good to know they got there safe! As safe as anybody can be when they are with Jer. :}
Joey I'm worried about your supper. I think you should make chili tonight and Jay, Liza, me, and Mr. Peepers will be there at 5:30 - make it 6:00 Joey I may want to take a nap. I'll bring the crackers! Oh, I don't have any. I like Premium Saltines - not generic. You don't have to thank me Joey I'm glad to help out!!

I love home made desserts. If John were coming you'd have to bake a cake. I prefer pie. Lots of shortening in the flour is the secret to a good crust.

the menu for tonight's supper is

baked fish & salad

only Cindy did not show me how to make baked fish
YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got three words for you "Long John Silvers", but their fish is probably high in fat. Just put the fish on a cookie sheet, set the oven at 325 degrees, and when the smoke alarm goes off it's ready. If you use Reynolds Wrap on the cookie sheet, it makes for an easy clean up. It will give you more time to get the laundry done!

Time and oven temperatures may vary. Adjust accordingly.

Jer believes that it's all about her. I think.

How are things going on the fun-o-meter?

Ignoring negative comments, I'll just say that we've had a wonderful time. Got home late last night and went right to bed. They left at 5 AM this morning. Here's hoping for safe travels.

It was just what I needed to have them here. They were wonderful. Plus Cindy left me a "thank you" gift of a beautiful card and six scratch-off tickets. I won a free ticket and $10, and I have to come home to redeem them. :)
