Does Jesus walk among us?
So I was at church on Wednesday morning( yes I still go every Wednesday)and I saw something strange. I sit in the back pew, after working all night pew is right up my alley. Anywho, a guy came in after the first reading and sat down by me. There is only about 50 or 60 people there and he sits by me. 100's of pews open, nobody sits to close to anyone else, Why me? So right away I am a little creeped out. He was a short, middle aged semi bald man, no not my twin. He sat quietly not saying any of the prayers or responses. I thought this guy is pretty weird, not sure I want to shake his hand at the sign of peace. Well after the Eucharistic Prayer he just gets up and leaves. I have seen a lot of people come in late, some much later than him but they still stay for communion and the end of mass. Come on if you are there for the whole mass it is only a half hour long. It just kept bugging me how strange he was and how strange his actions were. After communion I said my prayers, thanking the Lord for everything I have in my life and how happy and grateful I am. Also prayed for friends that are suffering now and a big thank you for the safe trip we all had.
That was when I thought, maybe Jesus does walk amongst us.
Maybe he even sits by a stinky middle aged man in church.
Was he letting me know that everything will be all right?
I have never seen that guy either in or out of church before.
Maybe he wasn't so weird after all.

I think you're right Uncle Joe. On Sunday we were stopped at a stoplight and a woman was standing there with signs to get money. I felt called to give her some, so I handed Danny $5 to give to her. She told us, "God Bless You." We then took the time to read her signs and found out that she takes that money to purchase Bibles for the homeless. She stood there in 100 degree heat to help with God's work. She was a Jesus among us!
I am thinking he was looking for Underbrinks...and finally realized it was the wrong place! or maybe he was unsure how to ask you if he could go on the next Bozarth trek
you are probably right he left at 6:45, that is when Underbrinks opens.
I think you may be right, Joe. Once I went into the church I belonged to in Milwaukee. It was in the inner city. Wintertime. There was a woman in there who had on just a light dress that didn't close all the way. I'd just picked up my wool coat from the cleaners and went out and brought it in for her. Her face lit up. I looked up to the altar and thanked God I was there at the right time. When I turned back she was gone. I always thought she was an angel. Or maybe she was Jesus.
