NO GOOD DEED....

goes unpunished.

I always hated that saying but it seems to be true in this family. Usually John is on the receiving end of the punishment. He would come over to help me and leave early with one less finger. This time it was me. My wife made a very unselfish act by canceling our trip to Springfield so I could go to Jeff's and help work on his house. I wasn't there 5 minutes and pulled a muscle in my calf getting down off a ladder. I still think I managed to be a little help that day even though I could barely walk on it.

So there
No good deed goes unpunished.

Thanks to all for the cards and well wishes for our anniversary
I didn't get a chance to blog our anniversary
But I would like to say to my wife
I would do it all over again, maybe not the vasectomy so soon part but it has been a great ride.

Remember when
thirty seemed so old
Now lookn' back it's just a steppin' stone
To where we are,Where we've been
Said we'd do it all again
Remember when
Remember when we said when we turned gray
When the children grow up and move away
We won't be sad, we'll be glad
For all the life we've had
And we'll remember when
.
.
I love you sweetie

I'm sorry you got hurt doing a good deed Joe!! You and Cindy have always been a great couple. Good looking, charming, smart, and hard working. You've got three great sons! I'm not sure about the dog, Kirby, though. Ever since Jay, overstimulated him and then Jay peed on your carpet (Jay forgot he wasn't wearing his depends) I have been concerned that Kirby has ADHD and you in Cindy are in denial. Admitting your dog had problems is the first step. He made need Ritalin and you have both got to stop pretending, that he is just going through a "stage".

I feel terrible Joe is hurt, though he is feeling better (less limping) but it was the right thing to do with our time. I hope we have 28 more anniversaries, and I hope Jeff never builds another house ;o) He told me over and over how happy the day made him to have his brothers helping him on his new home. I think he will remember our 28th anniversary for many years to come. Joe had fun, and I hope he has the same chance to help John and Paulette on their new home too. We LOVED our winning football game, and got to see Kayla 'cheer' with the big girls, so having the McElroys' with us on our anniversary was special too. Then to Gem City at Eric's request with John, Paulette, Tim and Jan, was a great ending to our day. We both love famiy more than anything and it was good to see so much of them on Friday (especially Eric) I got a call from Cody too. Thank you all for the good wishes...I can't believe how fast 28 years can go.

Andre...Kirby has an appointment with the dog whisperer this week...i am sorry he peed on jay's foot...i spoil my "little boy" rotten. Promise to come again in December and he will behave himself. (you crack me up)

otherwise we can put him down, Jay that is.

Joe would you make the appointment. I'm not sure if a whisperer will stop Jay from blaming Kirby for unine stains or not. If we have him put down, we'll double bag him.

Joe had his game face on at the QND Friday night. You would have never known that he was hurt. Hope you are getting better.

Happy Anniversary to you both. What a role model for the rest of us, 28 years!
