I just heard from Jay that John and Paulette called him last night at 6pm and were still in D.C.. They had been sitting on their plane for 2 hours because of storms with no departure in site. They were going to miss their flight out of Cincinnati and maybe have to drive to St Louis.

John...You missed your meeting with Kathy Muder today at 2:30 and since I caught her fixing a file cabinet today instead of calling for maintenence, I suspect you were missed at work!!!! I hope and pray you both arrive safely at home soon (having not 'cracked' under the pressure of the chaos of air flight travel---Adam tried to warn everyone last year) Let us know when you are safe and sound, and when you will be ready to GO again (NOW Joe will NEVER fly)
We are home...getting in today at 1:30p...15 hours later than we planned. We sat at DC from 5pm until 9:39p (Jerry Jackson sat on his plane from 2pm until after us)and missed every connection possible in Cinncinati to St Louis. When we got there (and the airport was closed), they shipped us to a motel in Kentucky for the night (night as in 1:15am to 5:45a)and back to get out 9am plane.No luggage-just our carry on and a baggie of overnight things (toothpaste,brush, deordorant etc) It was pure hell......if I ever fly again-I know it will never be with connecting flights-ONLY non-stops. At least when Jerry finally took off-he landed in St Louis!!!! More later on how things ended here even worse!I need a vacation to recup. John didnt even go to work and missed I dont know how many meetings......he will be there Fri!
I just told mom and dad to be glad this wasn't next summer when we'd have 6 kids trapped on the plane with us!

Your trip sounds horrible! I ate Nate's cereal bar while you were gone and it was delicious....
Sorry for all the crap you had to go through--been there done that. I still love flying--it's the sitting on the tarmac I hate. :) Welcome home.
What worries me about flying is that my arms will get tired.
