This Nativity is gorgeous, but any Nativity touches me in that special way it should touch us all. Silver Dollar City never really forgets that He is the reason for the season. Someone said they enjoy Christmas Lights b/c it reminds them that the Lord brought His Light into our world....I LOVE that...and I love all the lights of this special place, and sharing it all with Joe.
This is one of the beautiful Light displays that again reminds us all to Rejoice the Lord
This is not just a 5 story lighted Christmas Tree....it is a light show several times during the evening set to music...not only does it flash many displays, all the trees on the square that are decorated play to the music too. VERY BEAUTIFUL
Santa KNOWS me by name....he loves me because I love giving gifts at Christmas time like he does....he thinks I need to work on my Jolly Laugh though. He promised if I said my prayers each night he will bring ME what I want most too----do you need a hint? [ACE]
This is a child's dream come true, no matter the season....this entire area is just a play area for kids to climb on, and in the winter it is one of the most concentrated area of lights too....A magical wonderland of fun for all ages.
The Dicken's Musical is probably one of our favorite things to do....and great during the daylight before all the lights are in their glory....We love the songs in this play and sing them (I make up some words when I forget and Joe rolls his eyes) all though the season....and we will begin singing them again when we get ready to go again...they really get us in the mood. This is the very end of the show when the cast is singing "God Bless Us Everyone"
So our trip for 2010 is behind us now, and each year we enjoy it more....we love sharing wassil and funnel cakes, and our 'bowl of goodness'(potatoes, onions, peppers, seasoning, sausage cooked in HUGE seasoned skillets) and we love most to walk around holding hands and looking at CHRISTMAS all around us...we are like the many little kids there with wonder in their eyes....the only difference is Joe didn't have one single tantrum like some of the kiddos we saw this year :-)

Nobody in the world I would rather share it with babe. We always have a great time but I worry each year might be are last. I hope the trips continue for many more years.
Oh you make me want to leave right now for SDC......you lucky folks for that trip together!
Well, I'm glad Joe was on his best behavior.
Funny, I remember seeing and doing some of those same things on our honeymoon. Glad to know things haven't changed too much. Todd still makes fun of me sitting at SDC eating one of those big turkey drumsticks. He can laugh all he wants, it was good!! Your bowl of goodness sounds even better though!
So great that you get to share that special trip each year with your special guy.
