POOR BEATA

Poor girl is praying for snow and people here are praying for it to stop. Except for Cindy and I we love it. I would say it is about 6 or 7 inches now with more to come. Sorry you are missing it Beata.

It's Tuesday February 13th.

Do you know who your Valentine is?

It definitely looks like a winter wonderland outside....or more like a blizzard right now. I think we will get that 12 inches!!

The boys were excited to have a day off of school. And I got to sleep in b/c Aiden didn't get up till 8! Woohoo!

I'm hoping Valentine's Day is cancelled. :) I went all over last night looking for stupid little treat bags for the boys to put their valentines and treats in for school tomorrow and no luck. So guess who gets to go out in the snowstorm today looking for Valentine stuff?? Yuck.

I LOVE SNOW DAYS!!!!
Kelly, I have some treat bags if you want them. I bought them last year at the dollar tree. I have about 40 of them if you need them.

I LOVE snow too and this winter has been the best! I'm hoping we get to take the boys sled riding since with the ice we didn't get to go last time. They're both sick still so I'm hoping by Friday (when it's over 20 finally) that they'll be up to it.

I also love being off work this morning...nothing better than snow days! I could do this everyday that's for sure. Makes me want summer...but not too fast...gotta play in that snow first:)

When I left E/R last night, we had 1 pt....cant believe the snow kept them home! I love sleeping in today too...except Maggie got me up every hour to go out and romp in the snow, and there was some strange flapping noise outside my window.....siding, John ???? I am ready for spring.....Happy Valentines Day everyone

The more snow the merrier for me - I know it makes Dad nuts at work - but I love acting like I'm 16 in my Jeep;)

If we ever get over 10inches and someone needs an errand run, call me...

I LOVE THIS FAMILY... I have to listen to negative things about the snow and winter all day long and I LOVE it...The more the merrier, and this is such a pretty one. I think that kids these days are missing out...this winter has been like I remember ALL winters being like when I was a kid.

Does anybody remember how much snow we got when we got that first big one this winter?? Todd and I were trying to decide if this was bigger or not. I think we got more with the last big storm.

I love all of this snow too. I hate wind chills and cold crappy weather but I love the snow. Last night Todd and I sat in the living room with the lights off and the blinds open so we could see the snow while we watched TV. It was so pretty. And I LOVE waking up to all the fresh pretty snow. It just stinks when it all melts and is dirty and slushy. The boys are already asking to go out too.

All the little old ladies in the neighborhood have been calling Todd to bring his snow plow over so he's making some extra cash today also.

Those little old ladies sure love Todd. :)

Here in Florida we're supposed to have some major thunderstorms. I'm off today so came back from the mall and am in my room. Tornado watches an hour south, where the other tornadoes hit. Poor people. Must be crappy to worry about another tornado.

But back to snow. I LOVE IT and wish I was there to play!!!!

I love the snow, too. I just don't like driving near Chicago drivers in the snow. Sometimes they are very dangerous!

All the schools are closed, but we are both still at work. I am hoping to get out of here a little early as the snow is coming down pretty good.

Everyone, be careful.

Well I guess I'm the odd man out here, but I hate snow....it's cold & wet & it really ruins my day when I wake up at 5:15 & realize that I have to shovel my car out only to discover that it did me no good & my car still got stuck. Luckily I had arranged for a back up on Monday just in case. However I wanted to wear a skirt to work today & the snow really put a damper on that. I wore the skirt anyway & wore huge boots until i got to work & could put on my heels. Snow is no excuse for bad fashion.

One little old lady pays me in meatballs, one with green stamps from the market and the other just gives me a hug. Seriously the snow day was nice. I had work on Monday, off on Tues, Wednesday is another full day (last one of the week, Thursday is a half day followed by school improvement, and friday is inservice. Then a three day weekend. Man, I cannot wait until summer. This week has really taked its toll on me.

We got about 4-5 inches here in Kirksville. No snow day again. The last snow storm all the colleges got out around us. And I hear tell that a lot of Illinois ones did for this one. Stupid Kirksville, not enough snow. And I agree, I am not liking these people who just complain and complain about snow. I walked by several people complaining about snow, where as I am walking through it with the biggest smile on my face. Snow also makes for better pictures, so I don't miss out on those. I love snow.

Ok, that's IT! I am moving to Quincy!!! My face is now red of jealousy!!! As soon as this year's Fall is over, around November, I am packing my stuff, buying winter clothes, and moving for the winter season to Quincy. Who wants me? Where can I stay? Anybody???? ;-)

did everyone see cody's name in the paper tonight...page 3A...he is a snow expert! Makes a mom proud.

I'll take you B....I can tell by your pictures you are a neat housekeeper, you already would like my dog and cat, and You COOK!!! Plus you can shovel snow, but you better like being cold too b/c Uncle Joe keeps the house at 67 and it is a drafty old house...AND you are going to have to get rid of Cody if you want a bed. It's just too darn bad you can't PLAN a SNOW visit. when you want it the darn stuff refuses to fall.

And Todd, Are you saying teachers are underworked??? (we all agree you are underpaid)

I have to say I was a little shocked when I got up tonight. Not about the snow but how many comments there were about the snow. And long ...... not those 3 or 4 word comments like some of you post. No everybody well almost everybody loves the snow. I think the snow we had on Dec. 1st was close to 14 or 15 inches. I think that snow was a lot worse. It did stop the mail trucks. This one didn't.
I am most surprised that Andrea has not commented about the snow, I think she loves it the most.
Maybe she lost the start button to her computer and has been looking for it all day. haHA.
In case you don't know they lost the key to Liza's ignition and look for it for days BUT they did finally found it.

You call this snow?

Nice short comment Jan.

Yes it is the river effect snows that you have heard so much about. Not quite as bad as the Chardon effect snows.
But cool none the same.

No Aunt Janet, I call it sheer misery....AKA hell....AKA Lucifer's den. Beata do you want to just switch places? You can live at my house & take care of my cats, & I'll live at your house & take care of your zoo.

I have to retract my last comment. It Seems as though I will only be working three days this week and only one and a half of them will be with students. That is assuming that the rest of the week goes as planned. I am so glad that there is a three day weekend scheduled so that I can cet caught up on some things around the house.

All my life I have loved snowstorms. I can't believe how lucky I am to work for a school! Some teachers don't like snow days because they have to work more days at the end. I work year round so the jokes on them. Sorry Todd, Beth and Kris...Seriously I hope this blog doesn't get more comments than my birthday...I'm so popular!
