To our own personal Florence Nightingale....We Love you and appreciate all you do for us to keep us healthy. You have always had such a "calling" to your profession and I really admire that in you. Thanks again for alway being 'on call' for us at any time, day or night. Happy Nurse's Day to Janet and Suzie too, but my all time favorite nurse in the entire world would still have to be my Grandma Katie. She became a nurse(LPN)so long ago, she didn't even have to go to school for it....just take the test. She worked at Brown Hospital in Carrollton, IL until she was almost 84 years old. I was always so proud of her. (as I am our 'family' nurses)

I was so surprise to see the picture, I still remember the day that was taken, it was one of my proudest moments, to this day I can not think of being anything else but a nurse, I really see it as my vocation, I appreciate all the kind words, being there for my family has always been important to me and I will always be there, thanks Joe

Joe, thanks so much for remembering to honor our family nurses. Jane, Jan, and Suzie, I really appreciate your profession and all you do. Sometimes the job must seem thankless, but you stick with it, and I'm so grateful you do.

Nursing really is an underappreciated job!! They do the brunt of the work, including most of the dirty work. Where would doctors be without them?? Jane, you've been a lifesaver many times for me,Todd, and the boys. I know we can always count on you. Jan and Suzie, pat yourself on the back also and be thankful I'm not calling you at 7am in hysterics.

I have the greatest respect for all nurses-a tip of the hat to you -Jan, Jane and Suzie- for all you do. And a special thanks Jane for caring for my kids when needed and all 5 grandchildren....a professional's opinion can calm any situation....and you certainly have been there at the right time!Happy Nurses Day

Happy Nurse's day to all three of you! Jane, you have helped my family countless times. Jan, frankly, you've never administered nursing care, to any of us, but you're a great cook! Suzie is my favorite nurse.....I gave birth to her!

Three rules of nursing care.

1. Always save some of the Darvocet. You might need it.

2. Every man needs a testicular exam. They might need it.

3. Don't give out medical advice to family. The pay sucks.

Jane I don't know what I would have done without your advice and help so many times already with my boys and myself. Thanks for everything you do for us and for your non-family patients:)

Jan & Suzie I am proud of the work you do. I think nursing is one of the noblest careers out there...and one I could never do! Thanks for working so hard.

AND A HUGE CONGRATS TO MY COUSIN ANGIE, WHO RECEIVED HER BSN THIS PAST WEEKEND...I am very proud of her, as she did this while working full time as an LPN, and she is also a full time mother of 2. AND this is her SECOND Bachelors Degree. She received her first from Truman State in 1992 in Education. She taught several years, but when her husband transfered to work on his Doctorate in Indiana, she went to work part time as an aid in a nursing home and fell in love with nursing. She has always been such a remarkable person, I am not surprised that she has dedicated her life to such a giving field. Way to Go Ang...
