Well our lives have changed a bit in the last 4 days. Obviously we are ecstatic that Adam has graduated from college and equally as ecstatic that Eric has excelled his first 2 years at Truman. If you haven't noticed I have expanded my vocabulary to keep up with my college boys. Meanwhile, Cody on the other hand seemed to be a lost soul. Well the prodigal son has returned and I don't mean Adam. Cody surprised us Thursday. We received a letter in the mail from WIU that Cody had been accepted for the spring semester. After some phone calls, emails and a couple visits he was admitted for this fall semester. We moved a lot of his stuff up yesterday. He leaves today and starts classes tomorrow. We had not told anyone for fear of jinxing it. Well it seems to be coming true. We believe he has already beat the odds of kids that quit college and never go back. He seems to be doing this for himself and not us. I just wish I had not gambled all his college money away on poker stars.

WOW!
Congratulations Cody. We are so proud of you! That is a big, and I am sure tough, decision. Way to go!
Boy, Cindy and Joe are going to be empty nesters again! Yikes.
well through my tears I have the biggest smile....can you people keep a secret or what? Cody I am so thrilled and proud of you...I know you can do it this time around. Now I need an address.....and Joe not the Poker Star address
It is not that hard keeping a secret for FOUR days, which is the entire length of time WE knew. I just can't believe it...I keep pinching myself and crying (from the pain of pinching myself?) He seems so committed this time...Please God let that last. His advisor thinks he can graduate in 18mos-2yrs...which would be my dreams come true. Nate, Eric, Jenna and Cody could graduate from College on the same day.....think it will happen?
I've got a big ole cheesy grin on my face!! Cody, what a big decision....I'm so proud of you and happy for you! You are such a smart guy, I know you'll do great things!
Congrats to Cody and to Cindy and Joe for letting him do what he needed to do and supporting him with love and understanding. We are so proud of you Cody and three graduations the same year - YIKES, I better start saving.
Cody, I'm so proud of you. What a great young man you are. This is indeed cool!
Congrats Cody!!! I am so proud of you.
I couldn't be more thrilled and like, Paulette, the tears are flowing. We are so proud of you ,Cody, and your parents for being there to support you.
That is so great!
Congratulations Cody!! I know you'll have an excellent year. I was watching local news this morning and they were showing all the students moving in.
I am so proud of you!
way to go Cody! I hope your car understands that you won't be there for her as much...
oh, don't worry Uncle Jay...he took his "sweetheart" with him.
they are very close. I heard him talking about getting her some rings. Maybe some big news soon from Cody?
That is so fantastic. And what a great supportive family to give Cody the time to decide what HE wanted to do on his own time. It it is hard to be an adult.
Best of luck Cody in your 'new' adventure.
She was late and Cody bought a ring, but unfortunatley her monthly friend came and now she is in no hurry to marry him.
