Speaking of SHUP I have a word that I want incorporated into every ones vocabulary and that word is
FANTABULOUS
That's what I respond when people say, How are you today?
Anyway, I don't know where I would be today if Dunk would have lived, somehow I think things maybe a lot different. I don't really believe that everything happens for a reason, things or SHIT just happen. I may or may not have met Cindy, I may have been hanging in the bars every night while Cindy raised our 8 kids. How Knows? I do know one thing, except for the fact that I lost a good friend, I am happy.
Life is good
God is good
I don't like dogs
Speaking of dogs, every morning when I go to bed I always find Kirby there. As I come in the room he jumps out of our bed. We have the same conversation everyday. I say "you are not hurting my feelings by leaving". He doesn't say anything. BUT as he walks away and gets to the top of the stairs he turns around and gives me that look that John Candy gave to Steve Martin in the movie Plains,Trains and Automobiles. When John Candy was laying in bed after they had that big fight. John looks over his shoulder at Steve and then quickly turns back. Ah classic. Anyway Kirby does a good rendition of that. He'll have to show you sometime.
Happy Birthday Dunk, I miss you.

Dunker will always be young and you will be an old man someday.
Your comments about Kirby were so funny I keep giggling at work. I don't want my employers to know I'm on the internet, so I thought fast and pretended I was drunk.
I'm going to quiet if they try to fire me.
I will always remember being at the Forum with you and dunk and then Mike Lurkins, whoever started that dance, I think it was dunk, I do enjoy your thoughts and comments but you do not publish enough, I look forward to it so speed it up, Bro
Sorry it is a sad day for you sweetie...I am not sure your life would be much different really...Dunk would have eventually got you to talk to me, and the rest is history.
Poor Kirby...maybe I should take him to the day spa so you aren't being mean to him and kicking him out of HIS bed....so Doggie Day Care or WIU & Truman? Now be nice.
Cindy, perhaps Joe could sleep on the couch and stop bothering poor Kirby. After all, has Joe even thought about Kirby's stress filled life. I do believe Kirby works 60+ hours a week and (oh yeah that's joe) never mind...
I'm having a fantabulous day!
Be happy that Kirby LEAVES when you come to bed...Rascal and Maggie just look at us like they are saying "find your own spot to sleep". Always nice to have a best friend even if for a short time-look at all the memories you have.Who kows-if Dunk was alive he may be working 60+ hours on DAYS and you would never see each other!NOT fantabulous
great blog post! Dunk was surely an original, but don't call him shirley. Keep the the memories coming. I would but I don't have time.
I love your memories. Much better than my own.
that's because I am still young enough to remember
Remember what?
Did you people know that LUCKY IS DEAD? Nobody in this family ever tells me anything.
if you tell him John will send you out a mailer!!
Who's Lucky?
lucky and dead should not be in the same sentence
If you are horrendous pain than death would be lucky.
winning the lottery would be lucky.
having Jane do your prostate exam is extremely lucky
being given xray vision is pretty darn lucky too.
Being married to the most wonderful spouse in the world could be considered luck, I think it's fate. I am married to the best person that ever walked the face of the earth.

Don't you all think it had to be Jay who wrote that "best person on earth" spouse thing????
