The feast of St. Nicholas December 6th seemed to signal the start of the Christmas season for me, after it, came our birthdays, then Christmas vacation and finally Christmas. Is there anything better than Christmas for a kid? I say NO.
Tonight I would leave my shoes out but I will be wearing them to work. So help keep a Bozarth tradition going, have your kids leave their shoes out and St Nick will come by. Want to know more about St Nicholas AKA Santa Clause?

It's really ronnie tushaus looking for a pair of Nike.
Last year he left me lifesaver peppermints in my shoes. I am not complaining, just stating the facts.
Lifesaver peppermints I wonder where he got them.
Happy 28th Birthday Beth!
Andrea-maybe he was saying your feet stink. :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BETH....what a fun way to end your birthday than to remember to have the boys put their shoes out for filling. My favorite "shoe filler" was my microwave left for me by St Nicholas on my first year as a new bride (and it still running strong)My favorite year though was when I came down to find my boys had left every pair of shoes they owned out. Now that is a lot of Candy (I think Joe put them up to it)
I remember the nights of seeing the shoe sitting by the kids doors...and knowing I had to search the house for something to put in the shoe since I forgot the candy!!!!!! and think about it...eating candy after it sitting in a smelly shoe??????
It's SNOWING outside!!!!!
Happy Birthday Beth! I hope you have a great one.
Kelly maybe my feet do stink ;-X
I'm a bad mom, we haven't done it here. Luckily the boys never bring it up. Of course they'll probably learn about it at school tonight and I'll have to make a late night run for something.
Kelly we haven't done it here either. Glad to know I'm not the only slacker:) Maybe next year. I love the idea, just not prepared this year.
Oh crap, Drew came home and told me all about St Nicholas and how we have to put shoes out tonight. Guess I'd better get creative! :)
Put tofu in their shoes, they'll never want St. Nick to come again. They may in fact hide their shoes. Tofu or gravy...
I love the tradition and glad the family is keeping it up. Quincy and Cookie put out chewed up pairs of my shoes. I put Ronnie Tushaus in them. (Don't judge me.)
