Our Sweet New Ride!!!!

Our new car finally arrived yesterday and we picked it up last night. We were both very nervous about picking a color from a paint chip, but our only options after they couldn't find the Gold Mist we wanted, was Black, White or Blue. I chose Blue, and my sweet husband let me have my way...He wanted the white, and we both did like this car in white, but I've just not ever wanted white before and it seemed like I was settling. Anyway, the minute I saw it setting on the lot, I was won over....Joe is 'getting used to it' which is he way of saying I will be the one washing it when it shows the dirt more than our silver did. :-)
We obviously are not big on change, because I'm sure you can tell it is the same make and model as our last car. This is quite an upgrade though if you ask me. Our 2011 Chevy Equinox has ALL the bells and whistles anyone could want (me, I don't need that many and I'm not sure I will ever figure out how to use most of them, but it just IS so much nicer than our 2006) Joe wanted the sports package, and not sure what that entailed except the GREAT RADIO he wanted with the USB port and IPod jack. The XM radio is free for 6 mos, as is OnStar, which I only like because of the safety features. I am sure we will not keep either.
Joe said he thought it was time for new licence plates too.....but I quickly VETO'd that
I believe my FAVORITE feature will take until this winter to appreciate.....REMOTE START!!!
The weidest new feature, that I'm not sure if I love or hate is that it has a back up camera. When it is in reverse, there is a picture of what is behind you in the corner of the rearview mirror....for now it just seems strange. There is so much I really like, but there is also so much new technology---which Joe is so excited about, and I am so confused about. Joe took the book and his POP UP key out and is 'playing' in the car right now....it's like being 16 again and having your first new car. I'm sure that 'glow' will wear off by August 16th when the first payment is due!

I am sure Mr Electronics Joe will love all the things this new car can do-it would overwhelm me.We have things we have never used-never used the Sirius Radio for the free year.I do love the color(all that fretting for nothing) and style.....drive safely and enjoy it on your vacation

Todd's mom's car has the video in back also, it confuses me to look at it. I'd still much rather turn my head and look behind me. LOL

So glad you kept those plates. They are a perfect representation of your family and it's the only way I'll be able to distinguish you guys in your new car!

It's a great looking car and we love our Sirius radio, use it all the time and have already renewed it.
BTW way are you going on your vacation?

I've renewed my Sirius too. Never listen to regular radio anymore. I especially love answering my phone by tapping a button on the steering wheel. It makes it so much safer to talk on the phone.
