The day the music died. Most people think it was February 3, 1959. The plane crash that killed Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens.
Others think it was September 20, 1973 when Jim Croce died in a fiery plane crash.
Still others think it was July 16th, 1981 when Harry Chapin died in a fiery car crash on the Long Island Expressway.
And shall we not EVER forget October 12th, 1997 the day John Denver left us to soon.
Some Bozarth's might think the day the music died was March 3th, 1978 when we suddenly lost the "DUNK"
Or maybe the most tragic for us November 28,1980 when mom passed away.
But for me the Day the music and humor really died is December 24th, 2004. That was the day Jer did her stand-up act for the family. It was like watching a slow motion train wreck.
Good bye music, good bye humor. We will miss you.

Thanks. You cured my homesickness. Forever.
A long, long time ago...
I can still remember
How that blogger used to make me smile.
And I knew if he had his chance
That he could make us pee our pants
And, maybe, we’d be happy for a while.
But logging on made us shiver
With every post he’d deliver.
Bad news on the internet;
I wonder if Jer would comment.
I can’t remember if I cried
When I read about his bad connection,
made us all feel his rejection
The day that Joe's blog died.
So bye-bye, Mr. Spring Street Guy.
Sailed the Captain to the cabin,
But the Captain was dry.
And them good old boys were quoting Tombstone, but why?
Singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die.
"this’ll be the day that I die."
And in the yard: the children played,
The siblings quarreled, in bed dad laid.
But not a word was spoken;
The lawn chairs all were broken.
And the four men I admire most:
The Jan, Jane, Jer, and Jill’s ghost,
They all did login with a post
The day that Joe's blog died.
And they were singing,
So bye-bye, Mr. Spring Street Guy.
Sailed the Captain to the cabin,
But the Captain was dry.
And them good old boys were quoting Tombstone, but why?
Singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die.
"this’ll be the day that I die."
Dear heavens Todd, I nearly wet my pants laughing...at first reading it, i was not 'getting it', but when I finally figured I had to 'sing it' to the tune of "American Pie" then it was just TOO funny. NOW that is comedy. (even Joe laughed, though I am not sure he would admit to it)
And Jer, if you were ever homesick for JOE, you don't know him too well....He is not always nice, as seen in many past postings...even when I ask him to be nice!
Now my dear Jer, if you were funny at all you would have come up with something like what Todd did. But no you can't do it can you?
I am more suprised you didn't just say BITE ME like you usually do.
Excellent job Todd.
I loved it.
I may have to keeo going for a little while longer. Just having to much trouble with this site.
Joe
Todd,
That is the funniest thing I have read on the internet in along time. It pains me to admit it wasn't from me. Excellent.
Jeff
Joe....You made me laugh out loud so early in the morning.I was going to say you were the funniest....until I read Todd's comment......now THAT is true funny. Todd -didn't know you had it in you.Or is that your allotment for the remainder of 2006? Super job guys
Paulette I don't need to be the funniest in the family ........ I just don't want anyone else to be it either.
Fuuniest post EVER!!! Our Todd doesn't say a whole lot, but when he does, he is hysterical!
I'm giving your blog link to a few friends. Now they'll believe me when I talk about my family.
