FRIED GREEN TOMATOES.
The last couple of years when I got ready to clean up my garden for the fall Jan would inevitability say ”don’t forget to save me some green tomatoes so I can fry them up” YUCK sounds like crap. Last year when we had so many blossoms in our pumpkin patch several people said “you know you can fry those blossoms up and they are reeeaaaal good” And I know a lot of you like them fried mushrooms. Not sure what a mushroom is, just a fungus I guess. So spray some Lotrimin on it.So the common denominator here is grease.
If you fry anything it will taste great. Right? So this fall after the leaves on our sugar maple fall I will gather up a basket full and fry them up “I hear they taste reeeeaaaaaal good” You're all invited.

I've had fried green tomatoes. They suck. Ever eat a pine cone? Some parts are edible. WHy does the world grow so much good food and people continue to eat hog nuts and pretend they are good. Pass the lamb fries.

A harvest moon has an orange or reddish glow around it, caused, they say, by the dust in the air that the farmers kick up at harvest time...a Blue Moon is when there are two full moons in a month's time. I guess you didn't know this or you won't have only talked about Fried Foods...now go eat a carrot and get some sleep. (funny posting honey---I was getting tired of looking at that kid upside down in the tree)
I am crazy about fried green tomatoes. Learned to love them when I lived in Georgia. (Yes, anything fried tastes good!)
Now my mouth is watering. Not a pretty sight.
I've gotta admit, I've always wanted to try fried green tomatoes! I love fried mushrooms and fried eggplant so if they are anything like that, I'm sure I'd like them. One thing I've never understood......deep fat fried Twinkies. Yuck, aren't they already fatty enough the way they are??
CSz serves deep fried candy bars.
I really love fried ice cream. They usually have it at the County Fairs around here. Yum...
never heard of fried ice cream...how do they keep it from melting???? I have always wondered that about baked alaska too

Cindy, at Mexican restaurants you can get fried ice cream. They coat it in something. Doesn't answer your question...but it's delicious.
