Here are the new rides and attractions at SIX FLAGS OVER JOHNNY SHILOH
Jay and Jim stood in line for 2 hours until they realized this was the EXIT to the cabin were you can learn how to weave a basket. They didn't like that ride to much.
This is the new and improved entrance to SIX FLAGS OVER JOHNNY SHILOH. If you look close you can see the chain on the gate. Not a good move if you are trying to make money.
This is the newest game at SIX FLAGS OVER JOHNNY SHILOH it is called WACK A STONE. For 50 cents you get a nerf hammer and see how many grave markers you can wack in 30 seconds. Jay always won, you know he has always been the best wacker.
This is the top secret ride at SIX FLAGS OVER JOHNNY SHILOH. If you go to SIX FLAGS OVER JOHNNY SHILOH you have to swear not to tell anyone about this ride. Jay said that just telling me that there is a secret ride there put him in danger from the ghost of General Jay-Bob (Old Poopie Pants) Jackson Prentiss. Sorry I have said to much already.
The cannonball ride at SIX FLAGS OVER JOHNNY SHILOH. On this ride the rider sits on a cannonball and rolls it around. The amazing thing about this ride is believe it or not they have never filled the ride. They have never had 8 riders at one time. AMAZING.
Above and below are pictures of the BLOOD POND ride at SIX FLAGS OVER JOHNNY SHILOH. The ride is simple to ride but very hard to do, and not very enjoyable. When the cannon fires you have to run as fast as you can out to the pond. The idea is who can run on top of the water the longest. It needs a little fine tuning.
This spot is for further expansion of SIX FLAGS OVER JOHNNY SHILOH. In 2009 they are planning a 18 room motor lodge called, SIX FLAGS OVER JOHNNY SHILOH MOTOR LODGE. Also a 3 hole putt-putt golf course called Do or Dyes, (yes that is how it is spelled)and a pizza shack called Bayonet Johnny's Pizza Shack at SIX FLAGS OVER JOHNNY SHILOH.
don't forget to check out my old posting of SIX FLAGS OVER JOHNNY SHILOH.

good thing you identified both guys in that first photo...it has been so long since we've seen or talk to Jim, I had to do a double take to realize "hey, I know that guy"
They had so much fun they were whistling Zippidy Do Da out of their a-holes!
We have seen and heard so many great things about Six Flags over Johnny Shiloh-we are going in April...cant wait!!!!! Hope we dont hit one of the busy days when a whole person is there......will post our pics later
What on earth is Six Flags over Johnny Shiloh? I've never understood the jokes....
Poor Jessi.
This April 6th and 7th will be the 145th anniversary of the Battle of Shiloh, or as the Rebs call it, Pittsburgh Landing. It was the first major battle of the Civil War and had more killed and wounded than all of America's previous wars combined up until that time. Gen. Benjamin Mayberry Prentiss of Quincy was the Hero and saved the day for U.S. Grant on the 6th. He eventually surrendered with the 2200 remaining troops of his Division. His gallant stand at the Hornets Nest saved the Union Army from annihalation. 7 men from Quincy and Adams county were killed there. 63 cannon were fixed on the Hornets nest and fired all at once. It was, up until that time, the largest concentration of artillery on the No. American Continent. It is all well preserved and well worth a visit. I hope to go again this year. Need I say more? Because I surely can....
OK Mr History answer me this.
When and why did they turn it into an amusement park?
It use to be a fish farm and they turned it into a park for the halibut.
Great history lesson Dad. Shup
A well placed SHUP Suzie.
I knew what the Battle of Shiloh was, but what's the deal with the Johnny Shiloh???
He was a little drummer boy, Jessica. They turned it into an amusement park for the "halibut" which Jay says is "hilarious". You can draw your own conclusions. I think the history is interesting. (yawn)
shhh...don't wake him jess...Johnny Shiloh lives only in the mind of your poor Uncle Joe...everyone goes along with him because they know how he gets when he is off his meds. (he could blog anything--check out that picture of aunt janet, if you doubt me) Just use any well placed movie quote and you will do fine in the 'johnny shiloh' catagory.
"His gallant stand at the Hornets Nest saved the Union Army from annihalation."................
So this battle took place in Brown County - the home of the mighty Hornets??
