Maybe it is HIGH time that MoDot raise the road on the approach on their side of the river to the Memorial Bridge. I have an uncle that lives in a river camp on Bonansinga Drive and he doesn't want to leave, so I am hoping the levee breech this morning did not make things worse for him.
We were just down there last night and I was just in awe of it. I wished I had my camera with me. I'm planning on going back tomorrow. It's crazy what the water can do.
We urge all those interested only in sightseeing, gawking, and picture taking to please at least stop and take a couple gallons of river water home with you - every little bit helps.
That was me. I am not only puzzled but also confused about this water overage. Why doesn't somebody get a big sponge and soak it up and ring it out in a dessert? Could you ask an engineer about this? I would, but I never ride the train.
Okay I meant desert. If you ring the sponge out over a dessert it would make it taste soggy and the Health Department would advise against eating it, because it would not be sanitary.

Why does the "500" year flood come after only 15 years Joey?
