IT SNOWED TODAY

I don't know if most of you saw it but it snowed a little today.

Almost all of the 120 towns that the Quincy Post office sorts mail for did not receive any mail today. In my 31 years working at the P.O. I had never seen it that bad. You should all receive mail tomorrow. And before you say what about our motto Neither rain Nor Sleet Blah Blah Blah that is our motto not the truck drivers that haul our mail. No trucks came in or went out. I did have breakfast with Bill, Roger, Ron and 3 other guys I work with but I don't remember their name. We all ordered the waffle stack but tried different syrups. I sampled every ones. YUMYUM

The main reason I blogged today was in honor of Cindy's father and Grandma Mary who both died on this day, not the same year though.

I know you thought about them a lot today but the snow kept you from the cemetery.

Maybe next year.

The mayor said it was the biggest snow storm we'd had in Quincy in over 20 years. He's a democrat so it must be true. They never lie, Slick Willie is a good example.

The snow was great though! No school, so I had a great holiday. Even the clinc closed so Jan & Jane had off. Jay's boss came and picked him up, so he had to work. He's either really valued at the plant or his boss likes to drive his new 4 wheel drive hummer. Poor John and Paulette work at a hospital where they only close when "Jer's meatloaf" is served in the cafeteria. I was glad the mail was not delivered Joe, mainly because my glass mail box is frozen shut. I tried pouring a bucket of cold water over it, but that only seemed to make it worse. I tore it off the porch and put it my freezer. Maybe that will melt it overnight.

Why do these people make such harsh comments and not have the courage to use their real name. Come on Anonymous, who are you

I'm sorry about this being the anniversary of two people you loved so much Cindy.
Have Joe wait on you. Maybe he wants to put the Christmas tree up by himself(?)

Andrea...YOU crack me up...."Jer meatloaf", who'd have thunk it??

Thanks honey..It was ok that I couldn't get into the cemetary, b/c I am just sure dad sent me this wonderful snow to make me smile on a day that smiles don't come easy. He did a great JoB. I know he wouldn't want me to be sad. And don't forget Darren died today(in 1984) too..I always thought that is why dad went on the 1st, was to be with his grandson, then I was sure he came for Grandma in 2003...It comforts me...Guess you have to live in my head! I miss them all terribly.

And Andrea...I usually do put the tree up myself, b/c the kids are mad that we have a fake one now...Joe is just too tire from blogging to help. OR maybe...just maybe he is back here sulking, just WISHING I'd make him do it??

and HI yourself anonymous...

Andrea
Haven't you ever heard that old saying?
"People with glass mailboxes shouldn't pass stones"

Andrea-you win for funniest Bozarth today!! I was cracking up.

Joe-you call that snow?? That was just some flurries! :)

I got a foot rub b/c of that snow!! Todd bet we wouldn't get over 3 inches b/c the forecasters are always way off. I bet a foot rub he was wrong.

On a more serious note, I'll be thinking of you today Cindy. I know it's a hard day for you. I hope you can remember all the things about them that made you smile! I love you!

Uncle Joe because of the snow my paycheck is being held until next week! I don't know if the post office is responsible, but if they are, look in to it for me. :-)

Yeah I had to work Friday--only half of the Sharkey employees showed up so it was pretty much hell. How come our trucks managed to still drive Uncle Joe? The world of transporation never stops....
