JURY DUTY

You know that old joke, if you want to feel good about yourself just go to Walmart and look around. Well it is even more true at jury duty. And I don't mean the defendant, who is usually a real peach anyway but the jurors, oh them crazy mixed up jurors. It is just Tuesday and I have already been picked for 2 trials. Both were short and sweet and guilty. Getting to that guilty verdict was a real trip. If you don't know how it works, the judge ask you several questions, some personal, some not. When the judge addressed me she said, Mr Bozarth is says here on the card you are married and have three kids, so being a Bozarth I said I DO? Oh I mean yes I do. It was good for a laugh. Hey I was the court jester. Get it, court .... oh never mind. Getting back to the other jurors, the answers to some of their questions just amazed me. All the trouble that many of them had seen or been a part of reminded me how great our family is. I know Cindy and I have very few problems compared to most of the people in the court room yesterday and today.

One guy that I have to tell you about was on the jury yesterday with me. After sitting through the trial which seemed pretty clear cut. The defense did absolutely nothing. So when we went to deliberate I said let's just do a quick vote to see where we stand. 11 vote guilty. This guy almost came unglued. Start giving us a hell, why don't we just burn him at the stake he said. We said he probably won't even see jail time. Well after a hour we finally convinced him to change his mind. Well the trial today he was called to be a juror again, when the judge ask him if he had any trouble serving today he said yes. Why the judge said. He said there is to much drama. Funny the only drama queen I saw the day before was him. Anyone that has ever served on a jury I am sure that they would NOT say it had to much drama. It is not like Law and Order. It was more like Night Court without Bull to be the bailiff.

Needless to say he was dismissed.

So tomorrow I go back for a third trial.

Any bets I get picked again?

I think it sounds like fun!!!!!! Night Court was a funny show. I have always been impressed that not only are none of Ed & Elaine's children in prison, they are all gainfully employeed. I hope if you get picked again the guy who likes drama doesn't get picked!

I want a trial by a jury of my peers. Hey, that Bozarth guy is a goober, pick him. "Mr. Bozarth have you ever been up before me"? asked the Judge. Joe replied "I don't know your Honor, what time do you get up"?

At least you are getting a week of new blogger material, and a chance to take your wife out for lunch. What more can you ask for?

I've always thought jury duty would be interesting but I've heard enough now to know I probably wouldn't want to do it. Plus, I'd miss my Aiden all week!

And I probably just jinxed myself!!

Well my time is done on jury duty. I have to say I was a little disappointed I didn't get picked today. It is kind of odd that this is a civic duty i don't mind preforming.
As far as the drama queen, he was picked again today but after hearing about all his previous arrest he was dismissed. Surprise Surprise.
Back to work tonight but only 10 more days to our trip to Branson and 1,000,000,000,000 Christmas light. Can't wait :)
